In Their Own Words

Citizens Count received the following message from Andy Martin:

During the current campaign my Right to Know agreements with the Attorney General have changed the face of the campaign (I am filing a RTK court case, probably on Wednesday). Senator Sanborn was embarrassed and his campaign was disrupted when as a result of my RTK new details of his “crude” language, including the loss of a senate aide, were disclosed. As a result of my RTK, Mr. Edwards is still being challenged as to why he collected $160,000 for claims of racial discrimination when he claims he was a great leader (his successor as chief vehemently denies Edwards’ claims.) But none of this is on your web site; instead it is focused on lifting old news stories out of context which are of little interest to current voters. ...

My book on Barack Obama sold tens of thousands of copies and became the "bible" for authors who wrote about Obama and people who questioned Obama’s family history; Amazon reviews indicate it changed votes.

The article in the New York Times on the front page, pro and con my background, put me in the middle of the presidential race. The front page of the New York times is always a significant, amazing place to be recognized as a news figure.

In the current polarized environment, which I would like to change, people attack others they disagree with, and support those they agree with. It is not easy to be in the public arena. But I have survived for half a century. And I’m still making deals (Right to Know agreements) that change the face of elections in New Hampshire! Not a bad accomplishment!
