On Friday, September 30 the New Hampshire Attorney General released a report detailing marijuana sales between state legislators in 2015.

The report is part of the investigation of former Rep. Kyle Tasker, who was indicted in July 2016 for dealing drugs as well as luring a minor through the internet for sex.

Four legislators interviewed by the Attorney General admitted to marijuana offenses.

Rep. Amanda Bouldin said she smoked marijuana with Tasker in his car on one occasion, and that she was with him when he smoked marijuana in the Statehouse anteroom.

Rep. Joseph Lachance purchased marijuana from Tasker on several occasions for medical use. Lachance now has a state-issued medical marijuana card.

Rep. Pamela Tucker purchased marijuana products from Tasker on two occasions for "personal problems."

Rep. Ted Wright bought marijuana from Tasker after Wright's wife started using marijuana during her battle with breast cancer.

The Attorney General is not going to charge any of these representatives for drug crimes, partly due to a lack of evidence.

The Attorney General also noted, "At least until Tasker was arrested and the scope of his alleged criminal activity became apparent, each of these individuals believed—wrongly, given his other alleged crimes—that Tasker was acting in a humanitarian capacity by selling marijuana to needy people before the drug was medically available."

House Speaker Shawn Jasper had harsher words for the representatives.

"Any member of the House who has knowingly committed a criminal offense should consider whether their actions have compromised the dignity and integrity of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, or have done a disservice to their constituents," said Jasper. "There are no charges, and therefore no criminal proceedings, but the voters will decide whether or not the representatives running for reelection deserve their votes."

Will the Attorney General's report impact your decision to vote for any of these representatives in November? Let us know in the comments.
