On April 26 Senate President Chuck Morse presented a bill amendment that lifts a cap on how much the state can transfer to the rainy day fund in a given year.

The amendment was prompted by a projected surplus this fiscal year.

Governor Sununu works on the budget proposal

On Thursday, February 9 Gov. Chris Sununu presented his budget proposal to the New Hampshire Legislature. His plan increases spending by about 2% and does not increase any taxes or fees.
